Exploring ICT: A First Quarter Adventure

       As this adventure has come to an end, I know to myself that I have gained a lot of knowledge that could make me understand and help me in the future. 

      First is the timeline where it introduced the first discoveries and inventions. In this lesson, it's also seen that our network had evolved and became more advanced that it helped us in our everyday life. Second lesson was when Mrs. Vera Cruz introduced the pioneers. The one who invented and discovered new things. Third is the internet services and tools. This one helped me understand the use of tools and the services that out internet could provide. Fourth is where we started to learn on what a blog is and it's process on how to create one. This is the part where we learned when the blog was invented and it's types. By combining these lessons, I now have a better understanding of how to organize information and express my own thoughts in a creative way. 

     There are still a lot of things that I learned in this subject, Mrs. Vera Cruz has guided us throughout the whole lesson in 1st quarter. I hope that I will learn a lot more.

The Call of the Earth

    As you all of you can observe, our planet is slowly deteriorating because of the bad habits and irresponsible actions of people. Aristotle once said, "In all things of nature there is something of the marvelous." But why does ignorance of people come first?This month, we celebrate the Clean and Green Campaign that aims to help take care of the environment and keep our surroundings clean. Every small action we do can make a big difference. Here are some ways I contributed to protecting and caring for our mother Earth:

 1. Cleaning of scatters

As you can see in this picture, there are wasted or trashes that are scattered on the floor. There are small plastics that can be very harmful for the environment, so the best way that I have thought of is to sweep the floor so that the small trashes are disposed properly. 

 2. Picking up trashes

In this picture, there are wastes that are also scattered and can be harmful to our environment. I picked it up and disposed it properly. 

 3. Unplugging unused appliances

Appliances that are plugged but not on usage can be wasteful of electricity and the more energy we use, more demand for power production, which can increase pollution and contribute to climate change. 

 4. Saving water

Freshwater is limited, and wasting water can deplete lakes, rivers, and underground aquifers, leading to water shortages, especially in areas already facing drought. So the best we can do is to save water through the usage of buckets or basins.
